1. Name of project:
Construction of the speed underground line from “Moskovskaja” station to “Pulkovo” international airport.
2. Brief description and functional purpose of the project:
Construction of the speed underground line to carry out the transportation of passengers from the center of the city to "Pulkovo – 2" international airport.
“Pulkovo” airport serves more than 10,000 passengers and stuff per day. The construction of this underground line will allow providing passengers with more comfortable, speedy & cheap mode of transport. The length of line will be 5,88 kilometers. The time of the underground traffic from “Moskovskaja” station to “Pulkovo Airport” station will be 5,1 minutes.
Constructing of the underground commercial center will speed up the recoupment of the project. Shops, restaurants, plaices for rest will be situated on the same level with underground station. To addition of the over ground parking a new underground one will be constructed. Total area of the commercial center - 2,500 square meters.
In the future, it is possible to construct two underground stations- near “ Pulkovo” airport (domestic airlines) & railway station “Airoport”. It will shorten intervals between trains & will make the trips more comfortable for citizens & guests of St. Petersburg.
