All these types of transport operate in St. Petersburg. All these forms of transport operate from 6.00 a.m. until midnight. Single-journey tickets are sold by the conductor on board. A monthly card which includes the metro is also available at a cost of 275 roubles
EXPRESS COACHES AND MINIBUS-TAXIS
A ticket for an express coach costs 7 roubles. Minibus-taxis cost 6-8 roubles and stop on request. Express buses and minibuses operate from 7.00 a.m. to 10.00 p.m. Detailed information about the routes of all forms of road transport can be found in an information map "How to Get Around in St. Petersburg"; maps are available at all Metro stations.
THE METRO
There are four metro lines in St. Petersburg. The fare is 5 roubles, regardless of the number of changes you make or the time you spend under ground. Tokens can be bought at the cash desk on entering the station. Magnetic cards are available for several journeys or for a period of one month (185 roubles). There is at present no service on the section between "Lesnaya" and "Ploshchad Muzhestva" stations: a special bus (№ 80) connects these two stations and is free of charge. The metro operates from 5.45 a.m.; the station entrances and the interchanges between lines close at 12.15. a.m.
